THIS IS BIG! It is VERY difficult to find organic grains. Yet a few resolute farmers feel this is a basic necessity - we agree!
Our source is a Certified Organic mill which is part of a Mennonite community.
We already offer feed for cattle, hogs, sheep, ducks and chickens and are working on formulations for horses, rabbits, and other animals. We have witnessed the heartbreak of cancer in our animal companions, this has led a quest for Organics for them. Besides, if you do keep livestock for your own food, why not go Organic all the way?
We are working to find tried and true feed formulations to bring the same sort of health excellence you expect for you and your family to your pets and livestock.
I started using Ama-Lurra's feeds about a year ago. Before thier mixes, our hens were only laying a few times a week. Now on high quality feeds these hens, some 5+ years old, are laying quite regularly! Al Riley - Retired Engineerbackyard chicken owner. The prices are very competitive, the quality is fantastic! Best of all, I can get my feed in a metal drum supplied by Ama-Lurra and NO MORE MICE! Freddie Gomez - Contractor and Chicken Breeder
